Do you say please and thank you to AI when you are instructing it to do a task?
It can become a habit to ask AI to do a task starting with please and ending in thank you. It’s not necessary to use those phrases and it actually costs the AI companies money to add please and thank you into your prompt.
It’s up to you to decided if please and thank you are needed (my husband swears that when AI rises up, they will remember who was polite 🤷🏻♀). Whatever you decide, it won’t make a difference in the results.
