NotebookLM has some interesting features. You can upload up to 50 source documents/links/text and it will use that information to answer your questions. It will even create a “podcast” type recording based on the documents.
I tried it out with a rather dry manual and a link to some changes to the manual. It got most of the data correct, but in my case the “podcast” was too much of a marketing piece. I was looking for more of a training “podcast”. The FAQ, Study Guide, and Table of Content were helpful, plus the ability to ask it questions about the information makes this a tool to try. It’s basically a way to make your own single subject chatbot without any programming knowledge.
If nothing else, you might want to try it out and listen to the “podcast” characters’ voices. I’m sure this feature will start showing up in the podcast world and knowing that the “people” speaking are AI will put you one step ahead of others.
NEXT WEEK, I’ll walk you through another real world use case.
