Real-world AI use.
I have a PDF that is 75 pages long. It’s more than I want to read right now, but I need to create a Q&A. So let’s try two different apps, Copilot and Perplexity, to create the questions and answers. Copilot and Perplexity were chosen because, using the free version, they will look at a PDF link.
The Prompt
Using this file (link to file), create a 20 question quiz for 12 year olds. Provide the answers and the page number where the answers can be found.
The Results
- Copilot created some good questions, but provided some wrong answers.
- Perplexity did much better with the questions and answers, but ignored the age of the audience.
- Neither app was able to access all 75 pages using the free version.
Lessons Learned
Adjusting the prompt to access specific page numbers gave better results.
! Do not give personal/confidential/sensitive information to any AI. Think twice before giving AI a pictures of yourself; once you do, AI can use your likeness for other images.
