I’ve had so much fun playing with these “new” features in the Google App. Near the top of the Google App (not Chrome) there are buttons to solve homework, identify a song, shop from a screenshot, and translate text. These aren’t really new features, but Google used AI to enhance them and made them easier to find.
Let’s try it out:
- Open the Google App (not Chrome)
- Click “Solve Homework” button (directly under the Search Bar)
- Allow Google Lens, if requested
- Point the camera at a math problem and Click
- Scroll down to see how to solve the problem and the answer
Where was this feature when I was helping the kids with homework???
! Do not give personal/confidential information to any AI. Think twice before giving AI a pictures of yourself; once you do, AI can use your likeness for other images.
