The “Site” Search Shortcut

Ever feel like you are hunting for a needle in a haystack when looking for info on a website? Stop scrolling through every page and let Google do the heavy lifting for you.

Next time you need to find something specific, try this:

Type site: followed by the domain name, followed by the keyword(s).  This is telling Google to ignore the rest of the web and only show results from that one spot.

Give it a try:

Type this into your browser address bar:
site:handlingbusiness.com technology coaching

This will search my website for references to Technology Coaching.

Now try running a search for your own website. Do the results show the links you actually want your customers to find? It is a quick way to double-check how your site appears to the rest of the world.
