Windows Keyboard Shortcut

I freely admit that I geek out on stuff like this, but you just might find this one as useful as I do.

This feature is available in Windows 10 and 11, so it’s been around for a bit but a lot of people don’t know it exists.

Windows key + V

Similar to Control + V, this is a paste function. However Windows + V opens a clipboard history of the last 25 items you copied.

One of the reasons I like this feature, is that you can “pin” your most frequently used items so they are readily available. For example, I copy/paste my calendar link about 5 times a day. You would think I would have that link memorized, but one typo and the link doesn’t work so I choose to copy it each time. Now, Windows + V has that link pinned and I don’t have to look it up any more.

Think about all the phrases/links/paragraphs you repeatedly write that could be saved to the clipboard for reuse.

Note: If this is the first time you have used it you may have to enable it, but then it’s ready to go.
