Was Your Gmail Account Affected?

It was announced over the weekend that an additional 48 million Gmail credentials were exposed. This wasn’t a new leak but an updated number from previous leaks. The new total is over 149 million accounts compromised.

So what does “exposed” mean? In this case it means that a list of usernames and passwords were stored without any password protection and is available for anyone who wants it.

What should you do?

Change your passwords!

AND . . .

  1. Ensure you are not reusing any passwords

  2. Switch to passkeys if possible

  3. Enable secure two-factor authentication

If you are concerned about your account, let talk.
