Let’s start off the new year with a less cluttered Gmail:
Gmail has a built-in tool that shows what is taking up the most space in your inbox. Start by clicking here — Clean up space.
You will see a breakdown of what is using space and options for removing unnecessary items. Just follow the on-screen instructions to review and delete items.
Next let’s get rid of the REALLY OLD stuff in your inbox.
In the search bar at the top of your inbox, type any date you want to use as a cutoff. For example: before:2020/1/1
This will show you any email that is still in your inbox from before January 1, 2020. Now you can select and delete them.
While we are cleaning, let’s remove some of those subscription emails that are clogging up Gmail and not getting read.
Here’s step-by-step instructions to quickly unsubscribe.
