We all know that we should be changing our passwords on a regular basis. Some companies force you to change them regularly, but for those of us who work for ourselves we may need reminding. Consider this your reminder.
Since I’ve been writing Tech Tip Tuesdays for 2 years (WOW! Where has the time gone???), I’ve made recommendations on how to improve your password security.
The current best practice for account protection is to use:
Passkeys – Ideally log in with a fingerprint or face scan
Multi-factor authentication
Strong password
Will this “best practice” change over time? You can almost guarantee it. So that means you have to stay proactive to keep your information and accounts protected.
Keep changing those passwords!
