Send Email Later in Gmail

Last week, I knew there was an email that I needed to send on Monday morning and I also knew I didn’t have time to send it. There are a couple of ways I could have solved this issue (send it Sunday, draft the email on Sunday and hit the send button on Monday, etc). I chose to set up the email on Sunday and schedule it to go out at a specific time on Monday.

This way the email would go out when it needed to, without me having to do any extra work.

Give it a try:

  • Open Gmail

  • Click Compose and type the email

  • Click the down arrow next to Send

  • Click Schedule Send

  • Set the date and time you want the email to be sent

The email is now in the Scheduled folder. If necessary, you can find the email in that folder and edit or cancel.
