Let’s take a look at potentially one of the most useful AI function in Zoom — Meeting Recordings and Summaries.
If you have a paid Zoom account, then you currently have access to several options for notetaking. The Zoom meeting notetaker and summarizer is built in and only takes a couple of clicks to set up, so it’s worth a try to see if you like the functionality.
- Go to Zoom and log into your account.
- Click on Settings
- Click on AI Companion
- Scroll through the options and set the ones that make the most sense for you.
Make sure you understand the permissions you are setting.
Depending on how you set the options, Zoom will automatically take notes and share them with you when the meeting is done. Mine are emailed directly to only me.
Currently, I’m also testing Fathom. It is an app that gets added to your Zoom account and records the meeting. Haven’t decided if I like it or not, so over the next couple of months I’ll use both of these methods to see which one works better for me.
If you need help setting up your notetaker, send me a quick email.
